  • Generates self-signed X.509 certificate valid for 1 year
  • Adds signature metadata to PDF document properties
  • Creates visible signature annotation on first page
  • Compatible with Adobe Acrobat and other PDF readers

Privacy & Security

Your PDF files are processed securely on our servers. Files are not stored permanently and are deleted immediately after processing. The digital certificate is generated uniquely for each signature and is not reused.

Important Notes

  • This tool generates self-signed certificates suitable for internal use
  • For legally binding signatures in regulated industries, use certificates from trusted Certificate Authorities (CAs)
  • The signature includes a timestamp to prove when the document was signed
  • Recipients can verify the signature but may see a warning about the self-signed certificate
